About the Program

Demand response is available to citizens who qualify for certain grants or human service agencies. All reservations must be made 48 hours before requested trip by 2 pm. 

Please be aware that the following grants are subject to change by the federal government:

5310-Urban Elderly & Disabled

If you are 65 or older or have a medical condition that keeps you from driving then we can provide transportation to any in county medical appointments and 1 personal trip per week. The cost for this service is $1 per boarding. We require proof of age, or our  Certificate Of Disability Form to be completed and returned 3 business days prior to first trip.  

Medicaid Transportation

The Medicaid Transportation program is administered by the Iredell County Department of Social Services.  If you are a Medicaid beneficiary and you need assistance in accessing transportation to and from medical appointments, please contact the Iredell County Department of Social Services  (DSS) at (704) 928-2038 for an assessment of your transportation needs.  DSS is located at, 549 Eastside Dr. Statesville, NC 28625  The operating hours are 8:00 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Work Transportation

If you are in need of assistance to get to and from work we can provide this service for you. Contact ICATS at 704-873-9393 for eligibility details.  The cost for this service is $1 per boarding.
